In his role as CEN Public Information Officer, John has examined and advised on the most critical security needs facing Christians across our nation. He is familiar with how to assess the increasingly uncertain threat/risk landscape. John knows how to work closely with state fusion centers, local law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and how to advise churches, Christian city networks, and individuals in the best way to respond biblically both with their internal as well as external communication, especially when media is “drilling down” on an incident that could be a detriment to ministry.
His past experience as the Founding Chaplain for the Phoenix, Arizona Police Department, and meeting the needs of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Drug Enforcement Agency make John a valuable advisor in the area of ministry, law enforcement, crisis communications management as well as a home and church safety expert having worked with Rollins Protective Services.
John has recruited and trained volunteers for local security teams, advised on the best communication practices in the most sensitive crisis incidents, and inspired churches to become a CEN ReadyChurch.
